The sacred Navratri festival begins, with devotees worshipping the nine forms of Goddess Durga for nine days. To prepare it, fill a Kalash with pure water mixed with Ganga water, add unbroken rice, a flower, a coin, and turmeric. Placing a coconut, known as Shriphal, atop the Kalash is also significant, representing Goddess Lakshmi and promoting peace and love within the family.
