Business Standard · stocks
Indian equity markets experienced their largest single-day rally since April 8, with the BSE Sensex and Nifty reaching multi-month highs. This surge was driven by hopes of a West Asia conflict resolution, falling crude oil prices, and a global correction in AI stocks. The Indian rupee extended its winning streak to a fifth consecutive session, closing at its strongest level in over a month. Concurrently, the yield on the benchmark 10-year government bond eased to a more than one-month low, reflecting improved market sentiment.
