The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights has released a video celebrating Keralam's declaration of being free from extreme poverty. This animated video, part of the 40th anniversary of the UN Declaration on the Right to Development, was formally released at UN Headquarters in New York. Keralam achieved this status on November 1, 2025, after a five-year process involving local governments and civil society.
