Bombay HC to Hear Actor Imran Khan's Plea Against 'Leave India' Order

The Bombay High Court has scheduled October 26 to hear a petition filed by actor Imran Khan Pal challenging a 'leave India' notice issued by the Foreigners Regional Registration Officer (FRRO) on October 14. The notice, requiring the US national to leave by October 28, was issued four days after his detention during a protest. Khan's lawyers argue the order is arbitrary, unreasoned, and violates his fundamental rights. The petition also challenges a subsequent show-cause notice regarding the cancellation of his Overseas Citizen of India status.

बॉम्बे हाई कोर्ट ने अभिनेता इमरान खान पाल द्वारा फॉरेनर्स रीजनल रजिस्ट्रेशन ऑफिसर (FRRO) द्वारा 14 अक्टूबर को जारी 'भारत छोड़ो' नोटिस को चुनौती देने वाली याचिका पर सुनवाई के लिए 26 अक्टूबर की तारीख तय की है। यह नोटिस, जिसमें अमेरिकी नागरिक को 28 अक्टूबर तक भारत छोड़ने की आवश्यकता है, एक विरोध प्रदर्शन के दौरान उनकी हिरासत के चार दिन बाद जारी किया गया था। खान के वकीलों का तर्क है कि यह आदेश मनमाना, अतार्किक है और उनके मौलिक अधिकारों का उल्लंघन करता है। याचिका में उनके ओवरसीज सिटीजन ऑफ इंडिया (OCI) का दर्जा रद्द करने के संबंध में बाद में जारी कारण बताओ नोटिस को भी चुनौती दी गई है।
