In the POCSO Act case against 'Gem Granites' owner R. Veeramani, the initial complaint filed by Tamil Nadu Congress functionary M.P. Ranjan Kumar on November 22, 2024, will now be treated as the primary charge. Kumar had alleged that Veeramani sexually exploited minors, primarily from Below Poverty Line, minority, and SC communities, providing evidence. Despite the complaint, no action was taken for nearly ten months, with a case later registered based on an anonymous complaint.
