Former MP Naresh Puglia has written to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, urging the immediate construction of three proposed barrages on the Wardha and Irai rivers. He warned that these projects are crucial to avert a severe water crisis next summer, which could impact industries, urban areas, and villages. The proposed barrages aim to secure water for major cement manufacturers, power plants, towns like Ballarpur and Chandrapur city, and surrounding villages. Puglia emphasized that a prolonged water scarcity could disrupt industrial production and worsen hardship for rural populations.

पूर्व सांसद नरेश पुगलिया ने मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस को वर्धा और इराड़ी नदियों पर प्रस्तावित तीन बैराजों के तत्काल निर्माण का आग्रह करते हुए पत्र लिखा है। उन्होंने चेतावनी दी कि ये परियोजनाएं अगले गर्मी में गंभीर जल संकट से बचने के लिए महत्वपूर्ण हैं, जिसका उद्योगों, शहरी क्षेत्रों और गांवों पर असर पड़ सकता है। प्रस्तावित बैराजों का उद्देश्य प्रमुख सीमेंट निर्माताओं, बिजली संयंत्रों, बल्लारपुर और चंद्रपुर शहर जैसे कस्बों और आसपास के गांवों के लिए पानी सुरक्षित करना है। पुगलिया ने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि लंबे समय तक पानी की कमी से औद्योगिक उत्पादन बाधित हो सकता है और ग्रामीण आबादी की मुश्किलें बढ़ सकती हैं।
