Hackers Target Supermarket Refrigeration Systems Across Europe
News18 Hindi · india
Cyberattacks are expanding beyond digital realms to disrupt real-world services, as evidenced by recent incidents affecting supermarket refrigeration systems in seven European countries. In incidents reported, freezers in Belgium, Estonia, Finland, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Sweden reached temperatures as high as 50 degrees Celsius, forcing the removal of perishable goods. This follows a similar attack in France. These attacks highlight a growing trend where hackers exploit central digital systems controlling physical infrastructure, impacting operations and causing significant disruption.
