RIICO Moves NGT to Protect Industrial Units in Jaipur's VKI Area

Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO) has approached the National Green Tribunal (NGT) in Bhopal to resolve an issue concerning land in Beed Papad village. The tribunal had previously directed the forest department to take possession of 2.9087 hectares of land under Khasra No. 7/2, which affects industrial units in VKI. RIICO has proposed reserving an alternative 2.9087 hectares within VKI for forestry and offered to cover all afforestation costs. The tribunal is expected to hear RIICO's application soon.

राजस्थान स्टेट इंडस्ट्रियल डेवलपमेंट एंड इन्वेस्टमेंट कॉरपोरेशन (RIICO) ने बीड़ पापद गांव की ज़मीन से जुड़े एक मामले को सुलझाने के लिए भोपाल में नेशनल ग्रीन ट्रिब्यूनल (NGT) का रुख किया है। ट्रिब्यूनल ने पहले वन विभाग को खसरा नंबर 7/2 के तहत 2.9087 हेक्टेयर ज़मीन का कब्ज़ा लेने का निर्देश दिया था, जिससे VKI की औद्योगिक इकाइयों पर असर पड़ रहा है। RIICO ने VKI के भीतर वानिकी के लिए वैकल्पिक 2.9087 हेक्टेयर ज़मीन आरक्षित करने का प्रस्ताव दिया है और वनीकरण की सभी लागतों को कवर करने की पेशकश की है। उम्मीद है कि ट्रिब्यूनल जल्द ही RIICO की अर्जी पर सुनवाई करेगा।
