Rupee Weakens Against Dollar, Falls 0.8%

The Indian rupee has depreciated by over 0.8% against the US dollar in the current fiscal year, indicating a weakening trend. This decline suggests that recent efforts by the Reserve Bank of India to boost foreign exchange reserves may be losing effectiveness. The one-month forward premium stood at 3.17%, while the one-year forward premium was recorded at 2.83%.

रुपया डॉलर के मुकाबले कमजोर हुआ, 0.8% गिरा

इस साल भारतीय रुपया अमेरिकी डॉलर के मुकाबले 0.8% से ज़्यादा गिर गया है। इससे पता चलता है कि रुपया कमज़ोर हो रहा है। ऐसा लगता है कि भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक की विदेशी मुद्रा भंडार बढ़ाने की कोशिशें अब उतनी असरदार नहीं रहीं। एक महीने का फ़ॉरवर्ड प्रीमियम 3.17% रहा, जबकि एक साल का फ़ॉरवर्ड प्रीमियम 2.83% दर्ज किया गया।
