Tractor Sales Dip 18% in September Amidst Challenges
Times of India · business
Domestic tractor sales saw an 18% year-on-year decline in September, reaching 1,19,667 units. This drop is attributed to a patchy monsoon, a high base from last year's GST rate reduction, and the festive season shifting to October. Despite the September dip, overall tractor sales for the first half of FY27 grew by 8% year-on-year, totaling 6.1 lakh units. Mahindra & Mahindra reported a 23% decline in domestic sales for September, though its half-year volumes increased by 6%. Sonalika Tractors, however, reported a 6% growth in domestic sales for the month.
