Equitas Small Finance Bank MD & CEO P N Vasudevan has resigned, citing board concerns over his daughter being a co-promoter of an NBFC. Vasudevan stated that while no regulatory conflict exists, investor perception of a conflict has impacted the bank's stock performance. He believes his departure will remove this "overhang" and allow the stock to reflect the bank's financial strength. Vasudevan will continue in his role until a successor is appointed. The bank recently reported an eight-fold increase in profit after tax for the September quarter.

इक्विटास स्मॉल फाइनेंस बैंक के एमडी और सीईओ पी एन वासुदेवन ने इस्तीफा दे दिया है। उन्होंने कहा कि बोर्ड को उनकी बेटी के एक NBFC में सह-प्रमोटर होने पर चिंता थी। वासुदेवन ने बताया कि भले ही कोई नियामक टकराव नहीं है, लेकिन निवेशकों की धारणा ने बैंक के शेयर प्रदर्शन को प्रभावित किया है। उनका मानना है कि उनके जाने से यह "ओवरहैंग" खत्म हो जाएगा और शेयर बैंक की वित्तीय ताकत को दर्शाएगा। वासुदेवन उत्तराधिकारी की नियुक्ति तक अपनी भूमिका जारी रखेंगे। बैंक ने हाल ही में सितंबर तिमाही के लिए टैक्स के बाद मुनाफे में आठ गुना वृद्धि दर्ज की थी।
