झारखंड के डॉक्टर सोमवार को लंबे समय से लंबित मांगों, जिनमें समयबद्ध करियर प्रगति और क्लिनिकल एस्टेब्लिशमेंट्स एक्ट में संशोधन शामिल हैं, को लेकर राज्यव्यापी विरोध प्रदर्शन शुरू कर रहे हैं। विभिन्न सुविधाओं के लगभग 20,000 डॉक्टर इसमें भाग लेंगे, शुरुआत में मरीजों का इलाज करते समय वे काले बैज पहनेंगे। यदि राज्य सरकार कार्रवाई करने में विफल रहती है, तो वे एक प्रतीकात्मक हड़ताल और उसके बाद अनिश्चितकालीन हड़ताल की योजना बना रहे हैं। मुख्य मांगों में बिहार के मानकों के अनुरूप वित्तीय उन्नयन और सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए मेडिकल प्रोटेक्शन एक्ट लागू करना शामिल है।
