Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has labelled Ranveer Singh's film franchise 'Dhurandhar' as propaganda, despite praising its storytelling and cinematic execution. He found the graphic violence excessive and over the top, stating there was no need for such depiction. Tharoor acknowledged the political messaging and noted the films' ban in Pakistan and some Gulf nations. He speculated that Pakistani audiences might realize how much wrong has been done in their name after watching the movie.
