Rwandan Defender Emmanuel Imanishimwe Joins Chennaiyin FC

Rwandan defender Emmanuel Imanishimwe has joined Chennaiyin FC, becoming the first player from his country to feature in the Indian Super League. He believes the ISL's quality is comparable to leagues in Morocco and Cyprus where he previously played. Imanishimwe, who co-founded a football academy in Kigali, brings experience from AS FAR Rabat and AEL Limassol. Despite a slow start to the season, he is committed to the Chennaiyin project. He noted the high level of competition and the need for players to perform at 100% in India.
