Hindustan Times · environment

Mumbai may experience heatwave conditions on Friday, with daytime temperatures expected to reach 38 degrees Celsius in the suburbs and 37 degrees in South Mumbai. This warning comes less than a week after the monsoon withdrew from the city. Despite the high temperatures, discomfort may be less due to low humidity. The city's Air Quality Index (AQI) also slipped to 120, a moderate level, with PM2.5 and PM10 as prominent pollutants, potentially causing breathing discomfort for vulnerable groups.
