Tomato prices are on the rise in Andhra Pradesh's Rayalaseema districts, with lean arrivals at Asia's largest tomato market in Madanapalle. On Wednesday, only 62 metric tonnes reached the market, a significant drop from 88 tonnes the previous day. This scarcity, attributed to adverse climatic conditions and increased festival harvesting, has pushed prices up. Retail prices are now between ₹45 to ₹50 per kg.

आंध्र प्रदेश के रायलसीमा जिलों में टमाटर के दाम बढ़ रहे हैं। मदनपल्ले की एशिया की सबसे बड़ी टमाटर मंडी में आवक कम है। बुधवार को मंडी में केवल 62 मीट्रिक टन टमाटर आए, जो पिछले दिन के 88 टन से काफी कम है। खराब मौसम और त्योहारों के कारण कटाई बढ़ने से यह कमी आई है, जिससे दाम बढ़ गए हैं। खुदरा में दाम ₹45 से ₹50 प्रति किलो तक पहुंच गए हैं।
