Indian para-athlete Ayush Verma has won a gold medal in the shot put event at the ongoing Asian Para Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. This marks India's 10th gold medal of the games. Verma, hailing from Meerut, also secured a bronze medal in javelin throw two days prior in the same F53 category. His journey is remarkable, having overcome a severe spinal cord injury from a road accident six years ago that confined him to a wheelchair. Despite the challenges, he has demonstrated world-class performance across multiple disciplines.
