Minister Says Community Groups Reject Muslim Girls' Aspirations

Minister K.M. Shaji stated that some community organisations struggle to accept the aspirations of Muslim girls, despite their significant progress in education and societal roles. He noted that even progressive groups have failed to guide these young women effectively. This lack of guidance, he claimed, is leading Muslim girls to be influenced by atheist ideas. The minister made these remarks at a national seminar organised by the C.H. Mohammed Koya Chair at the University of Calicut.

मंत्री के.एम. शाजी ने कहा कि कुछ सामुदायिक संगठन मुस्लिम लड़कियों की आकांक्षाओं को स्वीकार करने में संघर्ष करते हैं, भले ही उन्होंने शिक्षा और सामाजिक भूमिकाओं में महत्वपूर्ण प्रगति की हो। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रगतिशील समूह भी इन युवा महिलाओं का प्रभावी ढंग से मार्गदर्शन करने में विफल रहे हैं। मंत्री ने दावा किया कि मार्गदर्शन की यह कमी मुस्लिम लड़कियों को नास्तिक विचारों से प्रभावित होने की ओर ले जा रही है। मंत्री ने ये टिप्पणियां यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ कैलिकट में सी.एच. मोहम्मद कोया चेयर द्वारा आयोजित एक राष्ट्रीय संगोष्ठी में कीं।
