Assam CM Defends Daughter's Protest Participation

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has urged people not to harass him for his daughter's participation in a student protest. He stated that one should not be surprised if his son also joins such demonstrations. Sarma emphasized that his children are adults and have the right to express their views.

असम के मुख्यमंत्री हिमंत बिस्वा सरमा ने लोगों से कहा है कि वे उनकी बेटी के छात्र विरोध प्रदर्शन में भाग लेने को लेकर उन्हें परेशान न करें। उन्होंने कहा कि अगर उनका बेटा भी ऐसे प्रदर्शनों में शामिल होता है तो आश्चर्य नहीं होना चाहिए। सरमा ने जोर देकर कहा कि उनके बच्चे बालिग हैं और उन्हें अपने विचार व्यक्त करने का अधिकार है।
