India's 281-member delegation at the Asian Para Games in Nagoya highlighted the nation's rich heritage during the opening ceremony. Over 100 athletes, led by sprinter Simran Sharma and para-badminton player Pramod Bhagat, marched wearing ceremonial blazers adorned with motifs from 5,000 years of civilization. These designs drew inspiration from ancient Indus Valley seals, reflecting early scripts and artistic symbols. The blazers also featured "SaptSindhu" on the collar, honoring the land of seven rivers and the Saraswati. The Paralympic Committee of India stated the attire represented 5,000 years of civilization.
