India Plans Central Scheme To Incentivise Agrivoltaics Adoption

Hindustan Times · environment

The Indian government is developing a central scheme to encourage states to adopt agrivoltaics, a system integrating solar panels with farmland. This initiative aims to boost the country's installed solar capacity. Officials are currently deciding whether it will be a standalone scheme or integrated into the upcoming PM Kusum 2.0. The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy announced this ahead of the 7th Agrivoltaics World Conference in Delhi. The scheme intends to offset the higher cost of agrivoltaic installations, making them commercially viable.

Ministry of New and Renewable Energy ने दिल्ली में 7वीं Agrivoltaics World Conference से पहले यह घोषणा की।
