Donald Trump Reportedly Pitched Idea To Turn White House Press Room Into Swimming Pool

Hindustan Times · politics

President Donald Trump has reportedly suggested removing reporters from the White House press briefing room and converting it into an indoor swimming pool. The idea was pitched multiple times to former White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. Trump apparently wishes to restore an indoor pool installed by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, which was later covered to accommodate the press. While some allies are now encouraging the idea, White House officials have historically resisted due to logistical and political concerns, though a spokesperson stated all options remain on the table.
