Manipur CM Meets Opposition Leaders, Reviews Security After Civilian Killings

The meeting followed the killing of three civilians by suspected militants in Kangpokpi district. मणिपुर के मुख्यमंत्री एन. बीरेन सिंह ने राज्य में कानून व्यवस्था की समीक्षा के लिए INDIA गठबंधन के नेताओं से मुलाकात की। इस बैठक में राज्य कांग्रेस के प्रमुख ओकराम इबोबी सिंह भी शामिल थे। यह मुलाकात कांगपोकपी जिले में संदिग्ध उग्रवादियों द्वारा तीन नागरिकों की हत्या के बाद हुई। विपक्षी नेताओं ने घटना और राज्य में बिगड़ती सुरक्षा व्यवस्था पर गहरी चिंता जताई और सर्वदलीय बैठक बुलाने की मांग की। मुख्यमंत्री ने आश्वासन दिया कि मामले की जांच की जाएगी और सामान्य स्थिति बहाल करने के लिए सामूहिक प्रयासों पर चर्चा की जाएगी। मई 2023 से मणिपुर जातीय संघर्ष का सामना कर रहा है, जिसमें बड़ी संख्या में लोग मारे गए हैं और विस्थापित हुए हैं।
