Times of India · business
A West Delhi consumer commission has ordered the Bank of Baroda to refund Rs 38,649 to a customer and pay Rs 15,000 in compensation. The bank was found deficient in service for failing to prove the customer's responsibility for four unauthorised transactions made in July 2019. The customer had reported not receiving OTPs or SMS alerts for the Paytm withdrawals. The bank failed to produce investigation records or establish where the money went, leading the commission to rule in favour of the customer.
