18 Suspects Extradited for Haiti President's Killing

Eighteen suspects arrested in the July 2021 assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moïse are being extradited to Florida for trial. U.S. Attorney Reding Quiñones stated this marks a major phase in pursuing accountability for the killing. Thirty people have been indicted, with arrests made in the U.S. and abroad. This extradition follows convictions and guilty pleas from other suspects in the case, including four men found guilty of conspiracy and providing material support.
