CJI Refuses to Comment on Delhi Law & Order, CEC Protests

सीजेआई सूर्यकांत ने कहा कि दिल्ली में कानून-व्यवस्था का प्रबंधन उनकी चिंता का विषय नहीं है, जब उनसे सीईसी के खिलाफ विरोध प्रदर्शनों के बारे में पूछा गया। सीजेआई एक NHRC कार्यक्रम के मौके पर बोल रहे थे। विरोध प्रदर्शनों के कारण दिल्ली में व्यापक सुरक्षा उपायों और मेट्रो स्टेशनों को बंद करने के बीच विपक्षी नेताओं सहित हजारों लोगों को हिरासत में लिया गया था। विपक्षी नेताओं ने कथित 'वोट की चोरी' के संबंध में एक ज्ञापन सौंपने के लिए सीजेआई से मिलने की मांग की थी और सीईसी के इस्तीफे की मांग की थी, लेकिन सीजेआई ने गोपनीयता का हवाला देते हुए बैठक से इनकार कर दिया था।
