ARAI Begins Drone Manufacturer Certification Services

The Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) has launched certification services for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) to assess and certify drone manufacturers. Operating under the Certification Scheme for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (CSUAS), ARAI will evaluate drone platforms against Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) requirements. This initiative aims to foster a safe, compliant, and innovative drone ecosystem in India, supporting the sector's growth across agriculture, logistics, defence, and other fields. The certification process involves document verification followed by physical and flight evaluations.

ऑटोमोटिव रिसर्च एसोसिएशन ऑफ इंडिया (ARAI) ने मानव रहित विमान प्रणालियों (UAS) के लिए प्रमाणन सेवाएँ शुरू की हैं ताकि ड्रोन निर्माताओं का मूल्यांकन और प्रमाणन किया जा सके। मानव रहित विमान प्रणाली प्रमाणन योजना (CSUAS) के तहत काम करते हुए, ARAI नागरिक उड्डयन महानिदेशालय (DGCA) की आवश्यकताओं के विरुद्ध ड्रोन प्लेटफार्मों का मूल्यांकन करेगा। इस पहल का उद्देश्य भारत में एक सुरक्षित, अनुपालनकारी और अभिनव ड्रोन पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र को बढ़ावा देना है, जो कृषि, लॉजिस्टिक्स, रक्षा और अन्य क्षेत्रों में इस क्षेत्र के विकास का समर्थन करता है। प्रमाणन प्रक्रिया में दस्तावेज़ सत्यापन के बाद भौतिक और उड़ान मूल्यांकन शामिल हैं।
