Saudi Arabia announced on Tuesday evening that it intercepted and destroyed a Houthi drone south of the Islamic holy city of Mecca. The Saudi-led coalition spokesman called the act disgraceful, while the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation deemed it an unacceptable transgression. However, the Houthis denied targeting Mecca, accusing Saudi Arabia of fabrications and stating their operations target military and oil facilities, not holy sites.
