The sisters, aged 14 and 13, were abducted from Tando Allahyar, forcibly converted, and married to older Muslim men. Despite pleas in lower courts, they were sent to a shelter home. Following intervention by a Hindu welfare NGO and legal advocacy, the high court granted their return.
