Goa's GST Collections Surge 37%, Significantly Outpacing National Average Growth

GST collections for October showed a robust 37% year-on-year growth, reaching Rs 535 crore. The state's total GST revenue for the month was Rs 687 crore, a 27% increase from the previous year. This performance significantly outpaced the national average growth rate of approximately 16% for the same period. The state's economy appears to be performing well, boosted by festive spending and the start of the tourism season. Goa also received an advance tax devolution installment of Rs 398 crore from the Union government.

अक्टूबर में जीएसटी कलेक्शन में पिछले साल के मुकाबले 37% की ज़बरदस्त बढ़ोतरी हुई, जो 535 करोड़ रुपये तक पहुँच गया। राज्य का कुल जीएसटी रेवेन्यू इसी महीने 687 करोड़ रुपये रहा, जो पिछले साल से 27% ज़्यादा है। यह प्रदर्शन इसी अवधि के लिए राष्ट्रीय औसत ग्रोथ रेट लगभग 16% से काफी बेहतर है। ऐसा लगता है कि त्योहारी खर्चों और पर्यटन सीजन की शुरुआत से राज्य की अर्थव्यवस्था अच्छा प्रदर्शन कर रही है। गोवा को केंद्र सरकार से 398 करोड़ रुपये की एडवांस टैक्स डिवॉल्यूशन की किश्त भी मिली।
