Two More Detained in Secunderabad Military Arms Theft Case

Telangana police have detained two more individuals in connection with the August 31 arms theft from the Madras Regiment armoury in Secunderabad. The accused, identified as armoury in-charges Vinod and Sheshu, allegedly assisted retired army havildar Upputholla Mallesh in stealing the weapons. Mallesh, arrested on September 11, was reportedly disgruntled over his compulsory retirement. Police recovered multiple rifles, pistols, and thousands of rounds of ammunition from various locations. Investigations are ongoing to determine if financial transactions between Mallesh and Vinod are linked to the theft.

तेलंगाना पुलिस ने सिकंदराबाद में मद्रास रेजिमेंट के शस्त्रागार से 31 अगस्त को हुई हथियारों की चोरी के संबंध में दो और लोगों को हिरासत में लिया है। आरोपी, जिनकी पहचान शस्त्रागार प्रभारी विनोद और शेषु के रूप में हुई है, पर कथित तौर पर सेवानिवृत्त सेना हवलदार उप्पुतोल्ला मल्लेष की हथियारों की चोरी में सहायता करने का आरोप है। 11 सितंबर को गिरफ्तार किए गए मल्लेष कथित तौर पर अपनी अनिवार्य सेवानिवृत्ति से नाराज थे। पुलिस ने विभिन्न स्थानों से कई राइफलें, पिस्तौलें और हजारों राउंड गोला-बारूद बरामद किए हैं। मल्लेष और विनोद के बीच वित्तीय लेनदेन चोरी से जुड़ा है या नहीं, यह निर्धारित करने के लिए जांच जारी है।
