Calcutta HC Rejects TMC Faction Plea on Accounts

The Calcutta High Court has rejected a plea from a Mamata faction of the Trinamool Congress seeking access to party accounts worth Rs 440 crore. Three bank accounts frozen by the Enforcement Directorate will remain inaccessible. The court found no prima facie case for the petitioners. The ED is investigating alleged money laundering and dishonest financial transactions.

कोलकाता हाई कोर्ट ने तृणमूल कांग्रेस के एक गुट की याचिका खारिज कर दी है। वे 440 करोड़ रुपये के पार्टी खातों तक पहुंच चाहते थे। प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ED) द्वारा फ्रीज किए गए तीन बैंक खाते अभी भी बंद रहेंगे। कोर्ट को याचिकाकर्ताओं के पक्ष में कोई ठोस सबूत नहीं मिला। ED मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग और गलत वित्तीय लेनदेन की जांच कर रहा है।
