Das's remarks followed reports of Election Commissioners objecting to decisions made in Kumar's name. He questioned the reliance on courts for accountability, asserting that the people, not institutions, own democracy. CJP has demanded Kumar's resignation and announced a 'Jail Bharo Andolan' protest in Mumbai on October 2.

कॉकरोच जनता पार्टी (CJP) के सह-संयोजक सौरव दास ने कहा कि मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार, जिन पर कथित तौर पर अहंकार दिखाने का आरोप है, उन्हें जनरेशन Z विनम्र बनाएगी। दास की यह टिप्पणी चुनाव आयुक्तों द्वारा कुमार के नाम पर लिए गए फैसलों पर आपत्ति जताए जाने की खबरों के बाद आई। उन्होंने जवाबदेही के लिए अदालतों पर निर्भरता पर सवाल उठाया और कहा कि लोकतंत्र पर संस्थानों का नहीं, बल्कि लोगों का अधिकार है। CJP ने कुमार के इस्तीफे की मांग की है और 2 अक्टूबर को मुंबई में 'जेल भरो आंदोलन' की घोषणा की है।
