Hyderabad's historic Gymkhana Ground has undergone a significant renovation, with all nine of its cricket pitches being relayed with new soil. This extensive work was undertaken to prepare the venue for hosting all of Hyderabad's home matches in the upcoming Ranji Trophy season. The decision to host at Gymkhana was made as the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium requires a revamp. The new soil was sourced from Vikarabad, with both red and black soil varieties used. This initiative aims to provide players with genuine assistance from the pitches.
