Writer Neeraj Pandey has criticised BJP MLA Maithili Thakur's statement about feeling safe in Bihar, following a molestation and moral policing incident in Jamui. Pandey, who hails from Bihar, stated that his lived experience was different and he never felt safe growing up there. He argued that comfort for some does not reflect the reality for everyone, especially those on the receiving end of such incidents.
