कतर के प्रधानमंत्री शेख़ मोहम्मद बिन अब्दुल रहमान बिन जासिम अल थानी ने अमेरिका-ईरान युद्ध के आर्थिक असर को "भूकंप" बताया, जिसके झटके पूरी दुनिया को महसूस होंगे। न्यूयॉर्क में उन्होंने कहा कि ऐसे सुरक्षा ढांचे ज़रूरी हैं जो संप्रभुता का सम्मान करें और तनाव बढ़ने से रोकें। उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि कतर अगले पाँच सालों में घरेलू इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर में 38 अरब डॉलर से ज़्यादा निवेश करेगा ताकि निजी निवेशकों को आकर्षित किया जा सके और क्षेत्रीय अस्थिरता के बीच अपनी मज़बूती दिखाई जा सके।
