JPNIC in Lucknow, described as an incomplete building and a waste of public funds under previous governments, is set to be revitalized. The Lucknow Development Authority has cleared a new operational model, ending the old system. Initially estimated at ₹265.50 crore in 2013, the project's cost escalated to ₹864.99 crore by 2016 due to non-scheduled items and unapproved additions like a swimming pool and gym. The previous management society also faced criticism for granting free access to facilities to private members.
