Cyclone Arnab: 107 Pregnant Women Safely Shifted To Hospitals

In preparation for Cyclone Arnab, the Ganjam district administration in Odisha has proactively shifted 107 pregnant women to nearby hospitals and transit homes. A total of 1,262 expectant mothers with deliveries due within 15 days were identified for relocation. The process, involving ASHA and anganwadi workers, began on Sunday, with 74 women successfully delivering babies by Monday noon. All mothers and infants are reported to be in good condition. The district is also prepared to shelter 1.5 lakh people if necessary.

चक्रवात अर्नाब की तैयारी में, ओडिशा के गंजाम जिला प्रशासन ने सक्रिय रूप से 107 गर्भवती महिलाओं को पास के अस्पतालों और ट्रांजिट होम में पहुंचाया है। अगले 15 दिनों में डिलीवरी की उम्मीद वाली कुल 1,262 गर्भवती महिलाओं की पहचान की गई थी। आशा और आंगनवाड़ी कार्यकर्ताओं की मदद से यह प्रक्रिया रविवार को शुरू हुई, और सोमवार दोपहर तक 74 महिलाओं ने सफलतापूर्वक बच्चों को जन्म दिया। सभी माँओं और नवजात शिशुओं की हालत अच्छी बताई जा रही है। जिला जरूरत पड़ने पर 1.5 लाख लोगों को आश्रय देने के लिए भी तैयार है।
