Anna University's Centre for Aerospace Research successfully conducted a Beyond Visual Line of Sight drone flight at 2,500m altitude in the Nilgiris. The drone covered 175km at 65kmph, demonstrating stable operation despite challenging high-altitude conditions like thinner air and variable winds. This marks a potential first for such a demonstration at this altitude, with data collected to refine future drone capabilities. The successful test could enable crucial applications such as medical supply delivery to remote areas, infrastructure inspection, and disaster response.

अन्ना यूनिवर्सिटी के सेंटर फॉर एयरोस्पेस रिसर्च ने नीलगिरि में 2,500 मीटर की ऊंचाई पर ड्रोन की बियॉन्ड विजुअल लाइन ऑफ साइट (BVLOS) उड़ान का सफल परीक्षण किया है। ड्रोन ने 175 किमी की दूरी 65 किमी प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से तय की। यह उड़ान पतली हवा और तेज हवाओं जैसी ऊंची जगहों की मुश्किल परिस्थितियों में भी स्थिर रही। यह इस ऊंचाई पर इस तरह का पहला प्रदर्शन हो सकता है। इस परीक्षण से मिले डेटा का उपयोग भविष्य में ड्रोन की क्षमताओं को बेहतर बनाने के लिए किया जाएगा। इस सफल परीक्षण से दूरदराज के इलाकों में दवाइयों की डिलीवरी, इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर का निरीक्षण और आपदा राहत जैसे महत्वपूर्ण कामों में मदद मिल सकती है।
