Customs officials at Chennai airport have seized 15kg of hydroponic ganja, valued at ₹15 crore, from a passenger arriving from Bangkok. This marks the second such seizure in a week, following the confiscation of 3.4kg from another passenger. The arrested passenger was reportedly offered a free trip to Thailand by a smuggling cartel in exchange for transporting the contraband. Since August, airport customs have foiled at least eight attempts to smuggle this substance.
