He suggests that private companies, banks, financial institutions, and charitable trusts should be incentivized to construct rental properties. Hiranandani highlighted that rising land and construction costs make affordable housing difficult, making rentals a better option for professionals. He cited the US model, where nearly 50% of people live in rented accommodation, as an example for India to consider.
