Valuations of Indian IT stocks have already factored in most of the disruption risk posed by artificial intelligence, according to Chintan Haria of ICICI Prudential AMC. The Nifty IT index has seen a significant correction, bringing its valuation below that of the Nifty 50. Haria suggests investors should now focus on companies capable of adapting to AI and capitalizing on new demand in areas like data engineering and cloud migration. While AI may impact traditional services, it also creates new opportunities for IT firms with scale and established client relationships.
