The Indian government is set to launch the National Electricity Data Sharing Framework in October, aiming to facilitate structured and secure data exchange within the power sector. A national-level data governance committee, chaired by the Central Electricity Authority Chairperson and including government officials and industry representatives, will be established for a coordinated approach. This voluntary framework, developed after stakeholder consultations, will provide principles for data sharing, ensuring non-discriminatory access and protecting critical information.
