West Bengal Approves Over Rs 5 Crore For New Town Road Repairs

The West Bengal government has sanctioned over Rs 5 crore for the New Town Kolkata Development Authority (NKDA) to undertake extensive road repairs and restore roadside parks. The funds will be used for strengthening various road stretches across New Town using methods like paver blocks and bituminous concrete surfacing. This initiative addresses long-standing complaints from residents about the poor condition of inner lanes. Additionally, Hidco has initiated tenders for urgent repairs to a main arterial road, responding to rain damage.

पश्चिम बंगाल सरकार ने न्यू टाउन कोलकाता डेवलपमेंट अथॉरिटी (NKDA) को सड़कों की बड़े पैमाने पर मरम्मत और किनारे के पार्कों को ठीक करने के लिए 5 करोड़ रुपये से ज़्यादा मंज़ूर किए हैं। इन पैसों का इस्तेमाल न्यू टाउन की अलग-अलग सड़कों को पेवर ब्लॉक और बिटुमिनस कंक्रीट सरफेसिंग जैसी चीज़ों से मज़बूत बनाने के लिए किया जाएगा। इस कदम से अंदरूनी सड़कों की खराब हालत को लेकर लोगों की पुरानी शिकायतों का समाधान होगा। इसके अलावा, बारिश से हुए नुकसान को देखते हुए Hidco ने एक मुख्य सड़क की तुरंत मरम्मत के लिए टेंडर भी निकाले हैं।
