Fresh floods have struck Nepal's central Gorkha district, causing significant damage along the Budhi Gandaki River. Authorities reported that approximately a dozen houses and several suspension bridges were washed away, with a hydropower project also sustaining damage. Around 50 people have been rescued, though five remain missing. This event occurs as Nepal is still recovering from catastrophic floods in August that claimed over 1,400 lives. Families have been displaced, facing uncertainty about shelter and essential supplies as they prepared to mark the Dashain festival.
