Professionals in Gaza are transforming tents into makeshift offices and clinics after their established workplaces were destroyed by Israeli bombing. Dr. Mohammed al-Khalidi, a prosthetics specialist, now operates from a tent after his clinics were demolished. This phenomenon began in December 2023 following widespread displacement. Despite challenges like limited space and unreliable electricity, these professionals continue their work out of necessity. Between 5,000 and 6,000 individuals have undergone amputations since October 2023, highlighting the critical need for ongoing medical services.
