The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has removed Mohammad Ashraful from his role as the men's team's batting coach, with High Performance coach Mohammad Salahuddin taking over on an interim basis. Ashraful, appointed in November 2025, will be moved to another position within the board. Salahuddin will manage the batting unit until a permanent replacement is found. Ashraful, known for a historic 2005 century against Australia, had a playing career marked by a match-fixing ban before transitioning to coaching. Bangladesh's next series is a two-Test match against the West Indies.
