Panchkula MACT Awards ₹21 Lakh Compensation To Family Of Youth Killed In Road Mishap

The Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT) in Panchkula has awarded a compensation of ₹21 lakh to the family of Vishal, a 20-year-old who died in a road accident on May 7, 2025. The tribunal found the accident was caused by a truck negligently parked in the middle of the road without any indicators. Vishal, who had vocational certificates, was deemed a skilled labourer with an assessed income of ₹13,000 per month. The compensation includes 7.5% annual interest and will be distributed among his parents and sister.
