Annamalai Clarifies Stance Amid Controversy Over CJP Protest Remarks

Tamil Nadu BJP chief K. Annamalai has clarified that his criticism of police action against CJP protesters does not signify support for the organization. He stated that CJP has a different agenda and emphasized that all political parties have the right to protest in a democracy. Annamalai also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi while asserting his right to question actions he deems incorrect. He stressed that while CJP protesters should face legal action if they erred, democratic institutions like the Election Commission and Supreme Court must retain public trust.
