Railways Begins Placing Girders at Trichy's Maris RoB Work to be Completed

The Trichy railway division has commenced the long-delayed installation of composite steel girders for the Maris RoB, connecting Mutharasanallur and Fort railway stations. Eight girders are being placed using heavy-duty cranes, with four installed on Thursday and the remaining four on Friday. The Railways aims to finish its scope of work. Following this, the Trichy Corporation will undertake the final civil work, with the bridge expected to reopen for vehicular traffic before Pongal 2027.

तिरुचि रेलवे डिवीजन ने मुत्थरसनल्लूर और फोर्ट रेलवे स्टेशनों को जोड़ने वाले मारिस RoB के लिए लंबे समय से अटके कंपोजिट स्टील गर्डर लगाने का काम शुरू कर दिया है। भारी क्रेन की मदद से 8 गर्डर लगाए जा रहे हैं, जिनमें से 4 गुरुवार को और बाकी 4 शुक्रवार को लगाए गए। रेलवे अपने हिस्से का काम पूरा करना चाहता है। इसके बाद, तिरुचि निगम अंतिम सिविल काम करेगा, और पुल के पोंगल 2027 से पहले वाहनों के लिए फिर से खुलने की उम्मीद है।
